THURSDAY MARCH 6 • • •
Start the day with a walk among the famed Freedom Trail, starting at the Boston Common, and journeying through historical sites such as Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, and Granary Burying Ground. Lunch at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and continue on the Freedom Trail. In the afternoon, we visit the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, where we can throw tea off the ship! Dinner in the North End, Boston’s famous Italian neighborhood.
FRIDAY MARCH 7 • • •
Take a drive out to Hartford, Connecticut, to visit the first permanent Deaf school in America, American School for the Deaf. Visit the campus and its historical museum with an expert guide. Drive to nearby Spring Grove and Cedar Hill Cemeteries to see the burial sites of Alice Cogswell, Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet and Laurent Clerc. On our way back, we get off at Fenway Park and look around. Dinner in the area.
SATURDAY MARCH 8 • • •
Visit the beautiful grounds of Harvard University, visit the bookstore and have lunch at Harvard Yard. In the afternoon, visit the famed Massachusetts Institute of Technology and its fascinating science museum. Take the metro out to Boston Common for our farewell dinner, and then have a surprise activity!
