Friday, January 15
Arrive in Mexico City in the afternoon at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest and recover. Meet and greet with everyone before enjoying our welcome dinner. Stay in Mexico City for 5 nights.
Saturday, January 16
Start your exciting tour near the Zócalo (Main Square). Go inside the National Palace to see Diego Rivera’s huge mural, and explore the Templo Mayor, the ancient site of Tenochtitlan. Climb up the Torre Latinoamericana, a skyscraper with 360-degree views of Mexico City during nighttime.
Sunday, January 17
Get out of the city for a whole day to visit the mysterious pyramids of Teotihuacan, “the Place of the Gods.” Have lunch in a cave. On return, visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the foremost religious shrine for Mexicans.
Monday, January 18
In the morning, we board a traditional boat with a Deaf oarsman in Xochimilco. Visit Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul (Blue House) in Coyoacán and Diego Rivera’s Casa Estudio (Studio House) in San Ángel. Grab your dinner at Mercado del Carmen.
Tuesday, January 19
In the morning, we head to Chapultepec Park, one of the largest city parks in the world, and view the Castillo de Chapultepec and the Monument of the Niños Héroes. In the afternoon, see the Aztec Calendar inside the Anthropology Museum.
Wednesday, January 20
In the morning, we board on a bus for a 4+ hour ride to San Miguel de Allende, one of the most photogenic places. Check out La Parroquia, a stunning church reminiscent of Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia. Continue strolling and admire the colorful colonial buildings and street art before dinner at a rooftop restaurant. Stay in San Miguel de Allende for 2 nights.
Thursday, January 21
Get your camera ready. Stroll through El Jardín, the heart of the city, and enjoy the arts and crafts at the Mercado de Artesanías. Head over to a workshop by Deaf artists. Check out Fábrica La Aurora, a renovated textile mill turned into shops. View the city from El Mirador.
Friday, Janurary 22
Take a short drive to the countryside town of Guanajuato. Ride up in a cable car and enjoy a panoramic view. Walk through the historic district and take a photo at the famous Kiss Alley. Head to the local airport in Guanajuato and board the flight to Oaxaca, including a 2-hour layover in CDMX Airport. Arrive in Oaxaca, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Stay in Oaxaca for 4 nights.
Saturday, January 23
Go for a walkabout around the town and its Zócalo with a local Deaf guide all day.
Sunday, January 24
In a private bus, drive to see the petrified waterfall/mineral springs, Hierve el Agua. Stop by to see the Mitla pyramid, aka The Place of the Dead, famed for its geometric features. Visit a mezcal plantation and enjoy a tasting. View the famous 2000-year-old Tule tree.
Monday, January 25
In a private bus, visit the ancient pyramids of Monte Albán, where its stones were used to build Oaxaca by Zapotec Indians more than 1,000 years ago. Return to Oaxaca Center to visit Mercado de Benito Juárez and meet Deaf artisans specializing in textiles (a 3rd-generation family business since 1952). End with free time for shopping and dinner on your own.
Tuesday, January 26
Get your taste buds ready with a hands-on Oaxaca-style hot chocolate experience. After lunch, check out of the hotel and ride for 4 hours in a private bus to Puebla. Stay in Puebla for 2 nights.
Wednesday, January 27
Visit the ancient town of Cholula, inhabited for over 3,000 years and considered the sacred city of Mexico. Explore the Great Pyramid of Cholula, admire the church resting atop the pyramid, and learn about the town’s fascinating history. Learn the origin of Cinco de Mayo at the Fort Loreto Museum. Enjoy our farewell slow-cooked dinner.
Thursday, January 28
Take a morning walk around Puebla town to see beautifully preserved Spanish colonial architecture, such as the Cathedral Santo Domingo and Cathedral Puebla. Visit the Palafoxiana Library, one of the oldest and largest libraries in the Americas. Check out of the hotel and ride for 2 hours in a private bus to Mexico City. Overnight in Mexico City.

Transfer to Mexico City airport for your departure flight.
