Included Activities Description:
Mayan Culture
Tulum, originally called Zama or "City of Dawn," served as a sacred coastal hub, trading port, and ceremonial center for the ancient Maya.
Remaining structures, such as the cliffside temple, were dedicated to ritual, astronomy, and nature's cycles.
Maya life followed cyclical time, guided by the sun, moon, and stars in connection with the earth and cosmos.
Cenotes were revered as sacred portals to the underworld (Xibalba) and used for offerings and ancestral connection.
The living Maya culture persists today through descendants who maintain ancient languages, traditions, and wisdom.
Temazcal
Sitting in ceremony with Abuela and being held through a first temazcal can be a deeply profound experience, representing the womb and a rebirthing ceremony in Mayan culture.
The traditional ceremony lasts approximately two hours and consists of four rounds called "doors," each increasing in intensity.
During each round, the door is opened briefly for fresh air, and additional heated "grandfather rocks" are added to the center of the stone dome structure.
The experience can be emotionally, physically, and spiritually activating, requiring preparation such as clean eating, hydration, and avoiding substances.
Following the ceremony, participants typically rehydrate with water and fruit, with the option to cool off in a nearby cenote.
Mayan Cacao Ceremony
Provides an opportunity to reconnect with your soul and spirit, opening your heart to your inner child.
Involves a millenary seed highly valued in American civilizations and once used as currency.
Features fluid and feminine energy that channels through the body under expert guidance.
Uses Cacao as a sacred drink to connect participants with the great creator and ancestors.
Cenotes:
Explore the Yucatan’s breathtaking cenotes through a private tour focused on personal exploration and Mayan traditions.
Engage in swimming, snorkeling, or diving in crystal-clear waters while experts explain the geological and cultural history of each site.
Participate in an immersive Mayan shaman-led ceremony to enhance the experience.
Vesica Tulum
Vesica Tulum is a sustainable cenote sanctuary and social club located in the heart of the Mayan jungle in Tulum, Mexico.
The entire destination and its artistic structures are built around and named after the ancient, sacred cenote waters.

Maleni Chaitoo,
A proud New Yorker, she began international travels at six months old, flying from JFK Airport in the 1970s. Cradled on her father’s lap, she spent six hours in the skies—a journey that ignited her lifelong passion for global affairs and humanity’s impact on the planet.
Maleni’s wanderlust is inspired by two quotes: Chief Joseph’s “The Earth is the mother of all people” and Solange Knowles’ “You get educated by traveling.” These reflect her belief in global stewardship and the transformative power of exploration.
