The tour focuses on historic cities, cultural heritage, and significant historical sites, with stays in Warsaw, Krakow, Prague, and Vienna. Travelers explore well-preserved old towns, important landmarks, and surrounding regions, including a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Saturday, May 6
Arrival in Warsaw and day to relax and recover from jet lag. Welcome Dinner. Stay in Warsaw for 3 nights.

Sunday, May 7 
Visit the Old Town Market Square, Royal Castle Square, and the historic Warsaw deaf school.

Monday, May 8 
Visit the Polin Museum and the Warsaw Uprising Museum with a local guide.

Tuesday, May 9
Drive to Krakow, check in our hotel and spend the afternoon and evening enjoying the beautiful ambience of old town Krakow. Sleep in Krakow for 2 nights.

Wednesday, May 10
Visit St. Mary's Church, St. Francis' Basilica, Wawel Cathedral and Castle Grounds, Old Cemetery, and Schindler's Factory Museum.

Thursday, May 11
Drive to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Visit the concentration camp. Overnight in Oswiecim.

Friday, May 12
Today is a long 5-hour drive to Prague, and we can stop by Brno, the Czech Republic's 2nd largest city, for a mid-day break. Stay in Prague for 3 nights.

Saturday, May 13
Visit all morning at the Old Town with sights: the astronomical clock, Powder Tower, Jewish Quarter, Church of Our Lady and more. Appreciate the gothic architecture sights of Prague. 

Sunday, May 14
Explore Prague Castle, Letter Town, Royal Garden and St. Vitus Cathedral and Charles Bridge. Ride on a historic tram throughout the city.

Monday, May 15
Drive to Český Krumlov and visit the castle complex as it is comprised of 40+ buildings and palaces. Overnight in Český Krumlov.

Tuesday, May 16
Drive to Hallstatt. Spend several hours exploring the picturesque lakeside town. After late lunch, we will explore the salt mine on the mountain. Overnight in Hallstatt.

Wednesday, May 17
Get ready for a road trip to Melk, home to its glorious 11th century abbey.  Spend the afternoon meandering down the river to a beautiful old town, Krems. Drive to Vienna. Stay in Vienna for 3 nights. 

Thursday, May 18
Visit Schönbrunn Palace, summer home of the Habsburgs. Then we head back to the Innere Stadt (Inner City) to go up the tower at St. Stephan’s Cathedral for an amazing view of the city. Sample the world famous Sacher Torte at Hotel Sacher. 

Friday, May 19
See the original Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss” at the magnificent baroque-style Belvedere Palace. Free afternoon to unwind near Naschmarkt, Vienna’s famous open-air market. Have a group farewell dinner.

Saturday, May 20
Transfer to Vienna airport for your flight back home.

Jan is a Deaf licensed tour guide based in Prague, overseeing travel experiences across Central and Eastern Europe, including Czechia, Poland, Austria, and Hungary. He leads journeys in International Sign, Czech Sign Language, ASL, and DGS (German Sign Language).

With over 15 years of experience teaching Czech Sign Language at Charles University, Jan brings academic authority, cultural depth, and refined storytelling to every journey.

He is the founder of Znakovárna, a Deaf Space nonprofit established in 2017, and the coordinator of ZnakoFest — the Czech Republic’s only and largest Deaf cultural festival. Based near Prague Castle with his family, Jan combines local expertise with international perspective, delivering seamless and culturally distinguished experiences.
