Friday, September 1
Arrival in Zürich and day to relax and recover from jet lag. Meet and greet with two wonderful Deaf locals over welcome dinner in town. Stay 2 nights in Schaffhausen.
Saturday, September 2
Drive to the Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall, and experience the power of the roaring waters. Afterwards, we explore the charming old town of Schaffhausen with local guides.
Sunday, September 3
Drive through scenic Appenzell region, including the cozy town. Continue the drive and peek inside Liechtenstein, the world’s sixth smallest country. Final stop at Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland. Enjoy an afternoon walking tour in Chur with a local Deaf guide. Overnight in Chur.
Monday, September 4
Take the scenic route through the Furka Pass with plenty of brief stops for photo opportunities. Arrive in Luzern by later afternoon, a charming lakeside town. Stay in Luzern for 3 nights.
Tuesday, September 5
Spend a whole day in Luzern: Jesuit Church, Musegg Wall, Tower of Lucerne, Chapel Bridge, Crying Lion monument and more. Afternoon shopping time on your own, especially the Swiss Army knives stores.
Wednesday, September 6
Start your day on a lake cruise from Luzern to Alpnachstad. Go atop Pilatus Mountain (6,982 ft) on a steep cogwheel railway and be in awe of a panorama view of 70+ peaks. Free time at the top, including lunch. Optional: Take the Mountain Coaster Ride. Return to Luzern by rail.
Thursday, September 7
Drive by the beautiful lakes in Interlaken. Arrive in Avenches to admire the impressive Roman amphitheater, baths and ancient town. Stop by the charming village of Mürren before arriving and in Bern. Stay in Bern for 2 nights.
Friday, September 8
Enjoy a morning walking tour of Bern with a local deaf guide, exploring highlights such as the Swiss Parliament, the Clock Tower, the Cathedral, Bear Park, and more. Afterward, savor a group lunch with stunning views of the city. Free time afterwards.
Saturday, September 9
Drive through the gorgeous mountaintop valley. Go inside the 13th Century chateau in Gruyeres briefly. Continue driving to Vevey region and visit the fascinating Charlie Chaplin Museum. Check out the picturesque Castle Chillon before a wine tasting at a small terrace in the middle of the Lavaux vineyards with a view of the lake. Stay in Vevey for 2 nights.
Sunday, September 10
A day trip to Geneva! Drive to Geneva and explore all day with a local deaf guide. Hop on an old ferry and sip wine while enjoying the lake views. Get off the ferry and hop back in the van and return to Vevey.
Monday, September 11
Check out of the hotel early. Scenic drive to Zermatt, including riding on a carport rail through a tunnel. Check in hotel. Afternoon walking tour in the village and have fondue-style dinner. Sleep in Zermatt for 2 nights.
Tuesday, September 12
Get on world’s famous 125+ years old cog railway, Gornergrat. Enjoy the views of Matterhorn. Return to the village. Free time afterwards. Optional: Take the Matterhorn Glacier Express.
Wednesday, September 13
Check out of the hotel early and drive to Zurich! Enjoy a walking tour in the city with a local Deaf guide. Have a farewell dinner. Overnight in Zurich.
Thursday, September 14
Check out of the hotel and transfer to Zürich airport (ZRH) for your departure flight anytime to your next respective destination.
