This tour will take you deep into the Bavarian countryside, including Neuschwanstein Castle. Start your tour in Munich with its distinct Bavarian style. See many historic buildings in different beautiful cities: Heidelberg, Cologne, Dresden and more. End the tour in Berlin, where the city was divided into West and East Germany in 1961. All in all, see the best of Germany with this tour!

Friday, April 21
Arrival in Munich and transfer to hotel. Afternoon walking tour in central Munich, including the Marienplatz, Glockenspiel Carillon, and Viktualienmarkt. Welcome Dinner. Stay in Munich for 3 nights.

Saturday, April 22
Day trip to visit the Dachau concentration camp and its museum. After lunch, visit the Bavarian royal palace at the Residenz. Return to Munich and have free time.

Sunday, April 23 
Drive down to Bavaria region and visit the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau along with stops in Oberammergau and Ettal. Return to Munich.

Monday, April 24
Check out of the hotel and drive to Nuremberg. Visit the Nazi Congress Hall and the fascinating Documentation Museum. Meet our local guide in the old charming town in Nuremberg. See the ramparts and a beautiful castle. Overnight in Nuremberg.

Tuesday, April 25
Depart Nuremberg and take a scenic route toward Heidelberg.  Enjoy leisurely in a beautiful town in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Arrive in Heidelberg. Stay in Heidelberg for 2 nights.

Wednesday, April 26
A full day in Heidelberg! Explore the beautiful castle, philosopher‘ path, old bridge (Karl Theodor bridge), market square, cable car (Königsstuhl) and more.

Thursday, April 27
A half day trip to Frankfurt am Main. Enjoy the old city and its sights: Römer (city hall), Kaiserdom St. Bartholmäus, and the birthplace of a famous poet, Johann Wolfgang Goethe. Hop on the ferry and go through the famous river Rhine. Drive to Cologne. Stay in Cologne for 2 nights.

Friday, April 28
Day trip to Essen. Visit the deaf school and meet students. After lunch, see the UNESCO Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex. Stop by Wuppertal, ride with the famous suspension railway. Back to Cologne.

Saturday, April 29
Explore the city of Cologne. See the famous cathedrale „Dom“. See chocolate museum. Enjoy short free time in the afternoon. Drive long way to Wartburgstadt Eisenach. Overnight in Eisenach.

Sunday, April 30
Visit the home of Martin Luther, who translated the New Testament Bible. Drive to Dresden. Visit a beautifully restored post-WWII city. See Zwinger, Dresdner Palace, Semper Opera House, Procession of the Princes, Bruehl Terrace and Frauenkirche, with an ascent to the dome. Overnight in Dresden.

Monday, May 1
Depart Dresden to Potsdam and visit the Sanssouci Palace and Park, where Frederick the Great (King of Prussia) lived in. See the historic windmill, the charming streets in the Dutch Quarter, and the Glienicke Bridge, known as “Bridge of Spies” during sunset. Drive to Berlin. Stay in Berlin for 3 nights.

Tuesday, May 2
City walk in central Berlin, including the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, and the Holocaust Memorial and more.

Wednesday, May 3
Visit the somber Checkpoint Charlie museum, see and touch the Berlin Wall, and your choice of museums to see on Museum Island. Stroll through Unter den Linden, a historic boulevard lined with shops, cafes, bars, etc. Time permitting, see the Berliner Dom, a magnificent cathedral. Have a farewell dinner.

Thursday, May 4
Transfer to Berlin airport for your flight back home.

Kilian, a proud Bavarian from a Deaf family in Munich, Germany, discovered his passion for travel and culture during a life-changing trip to Cambodia in 2013. Inspired by his experience, he left his career as a graphic designer and moved to Cambodia, where he worked as a tour guide for Cambodia Deaf Tours for a year.
